Rogue Legacy Addiction!
I have recently bought this game from Steam and I can't seem to put it down! It is just soooo addictive! The randomly generated dungeons along with progressivly harder monsters just makes for a great overall experience.
Rogue Legacy is a old school style platformer in which you assume the role of a knight. Your aim of the game is to clear the castle and find the all important throne room so that you can become the rightful heir.
As you progess through the game you can spend the coins you find on upgrading your characters stats. You can also find armor and runes in chests which also add ablities to your character.
However the big twist in this game is that if you die you will loose your character forever! You can't make him/her come back to life. Instead there is a great system in which you choose a sibling which will carry on the quest for you. These siblings are divided up into classes and have different traits.
A few of my favourite traits are Dwarfism and Gigantism. As some of you might of guessed this is simply making your character smaller or bigger. Gigantism makes everything bigger for your character so your sword is twice as big which allows for better range but you can also get hit alot easier.
To make it not seem very samey (as some games do) they have added 4 different areas you have to clear before you can fight the last boss. These need to be completed in order and there is a boss in each area.
Overall I am finding it a wonderfully addictive game and one that I will be playing for a while to come. Let me know if you have played it and what you think.
Also remember that TOMORROW we will be having a big annoucement so stay tuned in :)
See you next time

Tech Giant Apple is in talks to buy Kinect Sensor manufacturer!
Primescense which provided the first Kinect sesor for Microsoft is reportedly being courted by a pair of rival companies.
It seems that the technology that the company can make is well sort after by Apple, Sony and Samsung.
VentureBeat
translates a report from Israeli outlet Cacalist, which states Apple,
Sony and Samsung have met with manufacturer PrimeSense regarding the
acquisition of tech similar to that of the Kinect.
Apple specifically paid a visit to the Tel Aviv
headquarters for a tour – the firm already owns a trio of Israel-based
R&D facilities.
Neither Apple nor Sony has commented on the report at this point, while a PrimeSense rep gave the ‘no comment’ comment to Mashable:
"We can't comment on what any of our partners, customers or potential customers are doing and we’re not commenting on rumors."
Microsoft itself has moved on from PrimeSense in
regards to the latest in its Kinect line, working with a new tech
manufacturer for the Xbox One model.
I personally think that if Microsoft require you to have the Kinect Sensor on all the time while your playing a game then it is an invasion of privacy. Nowadays the hackers are smarter than ever so whats stopping them from hacking into the millions of cameras that the kinect sensor has.
Lets face it that Microsoft isn't know to be the best on security.
Let me know if you think this is big news for the likes of Apple or Microsoft is leaving it for a purpose.
See you next time

The PFA player of the year Gareth Bale will join the all star Lionel Messi on the front cover of the latest FIFA.
However he will only appear on the UK, Ireland and Middle East versions of the title when it is released in September.
EA has confirmed there will be a Limited Edition version of FIFA 14, which will include 24 Gold Packs which can be used for Ultimate Team. It also includes a few extra Football Club unlockables and a special cover. This is a GAME exclusive and is only available to people who pre-order the game before the 1st of August. So get in quick if you want it!
"The players on the front cover since I was a kid have obviously been legends of the game," said Bale. "It's a great honour for me and I'm very proud of it."
Bale has had a near perfect year winning 2 awards for his footballing talent. Like him or loathe him, he has definately deserved the right to be on the cover on FIFA 14.

Wii U price cut by £100 at Asda!
This just shows how well the Wii U is doing in the retail sector. If you didnt know that was a sarcastic comment as it is clearly falling from the sky like a 1000 ton anvil.
Asda has taken to aggressive discount to get rid of there Wii U stock. They have slashed the price on both the Premium Edition and the Basic.
The Wii U Premium Set (which comes with Nintendoland) is now just £199, while the Basic Set is a mere £149.
The reason for them slashing it so aggressively is purely down to the fact that no one can get any decent games for the console. Big releases are few and far between what XBOX One and PS4 will get when they come to market.
The only saving grace that i can see for Nintendo in the near future is the release of Pikmin 3. When the first one came out for Gamecube it was met with gamers open arms. Hopefully this will be repeated on the newest Nintendo console.
So have you got a Wii U? If not are you tempted by the low cost price of the console now?
Let me know :)

XBOX Live price hike after dropping points!
A few testers for the new marketplace have said that they have seen price rises for the same games you can buy now! This is yet another piece of bad news for Xbox fans.
XBOX Live will abandon the points system they currently have in place to switch to real money. (Following PlayStation again it seems.)
Users have said that the update automatically converts leftover points into their local currency. This would be all good apart from the fact that it doesn't seem to strech as far as it used to.
Eurogamer's source told the site that titles previously priced at 1600MSP now cost £14.99. Before the update, 1600 points equated to £13.60.
Similar increases can be seen for games worth 1200MSP (£11.99, previously £10.20), 800MSP (£8.99, previously £6.80) and 400MSP (£4.49, previously £3.20).
Prices are also being hiked in Europe as well with games that were 1600MSP are now €19.99, 1200MSP are now €14.99, and 800MSP are now €9.99.
It could be that these are just test prices or errors during the beta. Microsoft has yet to announce a new pricing scheme, or even when the conversion will come into effect. The update is expected this autumn.
So what do you prefer? Do you like the points system or do you want to know exactly how much you are paying for a game? There are possitives for both but it does seem that Microsoft wanted to change it.
Thanks for reading and I will see you next time.

Grand Theft Auto V Official Gameplay Trailer
Rockstar has officially realeased its first gameplay trailer for the much anticipated Grand Theft Auto V. You can watch the video below in HD.
In the video we see all three playable characters in full blown action and the ability to switch between these three characters. This is will be a key element it the game as you use the abilitys of each of the characters to act out your heists.
We also see vast environments which almost seem real and as always a range of things to do. They have also shown the ability to customize your cars and of course your characters in what ever you want.
Guns, cars, babes, what more do you want from a trailer?
I am very excited to eventually be able to play it when it gets released on the 17th of September.
What do you think of the trailer?
See you next time :)
